Within an hour students will be making their first glass beads. Intermediate Glass Beadmaking
Dates TBA - 10 am to 5 pm (both days)
(this is a 2-day workshop)
Students will need to have some beadmaking experience for this 2-day workshop. Come to class with nothing but a desire to expand on your glass beadmaking skills. We will cover casing goldstone, making stringers, filigrana twists, complex twists, using frits, powders, enamels, copper, silver use and so much more. Shapes, controlling dots- I could go on and on. Plenty of beadmaking will happen during these 2 days and class size is limited for individual instruction and attention. If you have your own safety glasses and any special or favorite tools, feel free to bring them along, otherwise all tools, glass and instruction is included. Workshop fee for this 2-day class is $275.00.
Basics of Wirewrapping
So, you've got all these beads you've made or collected; what do you do with them? Instead of simply stringing beads, this workshop will get you on your way to working with wire. We will cover wiring beads together to form a "chain", making your own clasps, jump rings (they connect things), spirals, and more. You'll learn how to properly use jewelry and wireworking tools to put all those parts together. Workshop fee is $ 45.00 and includes use of tools, all materials, beads*, and instruction.
*if you have your own beads you would like to use, please feel free to bring them along!

Beadmaking Open Torch is for anyone who has had previous beadmaking experience. If you have taken one of my beginner workshops, or have take other classes and have the basics of beadmaking down, then you are welcome to come to the studio and make beads! This is not a workshop, and no instruction will be provided. Participants can come and make beads for 3 hours (minimum), or for the entire 7-hour day. Use of all tools, equipment, and glass is included in the
$12.00/hour fee. (there will be a $5.00 charge for us to pack & mail your beads to you on the mandrells).
To ensure your spot in one of our workshops, please email Sharon at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name and phone number (the best time to call you back), and the workshop/open torch and date you are interested in. We will call you promptly and register you for your workshop. Once registered, we will then supply you with all the other details you'll need, such as directions, etc.
